1、 咨询类
Directions:
You are going to study at a foreign university. Write a letter inquiring about the specific information as reference to accommodation, fees and qualifications there.
Your letter should be no less than 100 words. You don't need to write the address. Don't sign your own name at the end of the letter. Use "Li Ming" instead.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a Chinese student who wishes to pursue further study at your university next semester. It would be highly appreciated if you would provide me with some essential information.
First, how much is the tuition fee? Though I intend to be self-supporting, I would be interested to know if there is any scholarship available for international students. Second, I wonder what qualifications I need to follow a course at your university. Now I have got a master degree in Tsinghua University, is it enough? Third, as regards to accommodations, is it possible for me to have a single room?

As everyone notices, air pollution in Beijing has become an increasingly serious issue. And recently, with dense smog raising health concerns among the residents, I am writing this letter to call on the public choosing the green commuting as a preferred traffic way.
Improving environment is our each citizen's responsibility, and green commuting is a meaningful way to protect the environment. Therefore, I advocate that we reduce using our personal cars so that the carbon dioxide emissions could be reduced to the minimum. Riding a bicycle or commute by bus or subway is suggested.
Hopefully, you can be part of the green commuting event, doing your job to make the world a better place.
