从系统科学和计算机科学的角度研究管理科学的两个问题：（一）复杂管理系统的建模仿真；（二）大规模问题的优化算法。研究成果广泛应用在多个领域（互联网市场、环境管理、房地产市场、供应链等）以解决实际问题（设施选址、随机动态规划、定价等）。
